Checks you can do at home before booking a pickup.
Electric unicycle tire pressure
Where to start by tire size and rider weight, and why a soft tire ends in a pinch flat.
Motor hall error and a jerky wheel
The fault that follows a tire change or a crash: what it means and why you should not ride on it.
What to check after a cutout
A stiff wheel, a burnt smell, a beep that will not stop: how to tell a burnt board from a scare.
What the price includes
- Pickup and return in Southern California, and a written quote before any work.
- Original King Song parts where available.
- A balance test on the stand and a check in the King Song app before the wheel goes back.
- 30-day warranty on our work, 90 days on the parts we fit.
Before we pick it up
- Ride or leave it at about half charge. Do not charge it to full the night before.
- Retract the trolley handle and send the charger.
- Never pressure-wash a wheel before sending it — water in the shell is one of the faults we fix.
Questions
Which King Song wheels do you repair?
S18, S19, S20, S22 Pro and Pro+, F18, F22 Pro, 16X, 16XS, 18XL and S16 Pro. We do not take the 14D or the 16S: the pickup alone would cost more than the repair is worth.
Why is an S18 tire change the most expensive King Song job?
The S18 hides its motor behind the suspension and most of the shell. Everything comes apart before the tire can come off.
Is a King Song board expensive?
About $265–300 at US dealers for the 16X, S18 and S22 boards, plus our $199 labor.
What if it is not worth repairing?
If you say no to the quote, the $145 covers the pickup, the diagnostic and bringing the wheel back, and that is all you pay.
We also repair tires and tubes, batteries and chargers, boards after a cutout or crash, InMotion, Begode, Leaperkim Veteran, Extreme Bull and Nosfet and Onewheel with pickup across Southern California.
